The car is undeniably a big part of our lives. The changes within the automotive industry in the last 100 years reflect the changes in society as a whole. Fashions, trends, experiments, advancements, indulgences, from veteran and vintage through to the classic – these are all reflected in the Nelson Classic Car Collection.

100 Years of Motoring showcases an eclectic, world-class private collection that is one of Australasia’s largest. The Collection celebrates the art of motoring, showing how the car is intrinsic to changing times, technology and events. It contains some of the most sought-after models in classic motoring, presented at the highest standard.

Many of the cars on display have undergone extensive restoration. Responsible for this is Cartel Works, whose onsite workshop not only looks after the Collection with world-class restorations and maintenance, but also do crafted reproduction sports cars.

From a 1908 Renault to a 2007 Aston Marton with everything along the way, 100 Years of Motoring has something that everyone can relate to – your grandad’s car, your first car, your dream set of wheels.
